pan worspace orbit origin?

Post by jeremiahbabers »

how would i pan the orbit origin? i can orbit around and zoom in and out a specifice spot in the workspace but i cant pan it like i can in blender. blender uses shift+ middle click to achieve this.

Seems you urgently used moho without knowing the basics.
Ok pan with right click
Or hold space and left click
Hold 9 for rotate workspace.

i used moho for a while and just realized those doesnt move the same. yes you can pan that way but that doesnt change WHERE the camera orbits around.

in moho if you pan, you still orbit around the center

in blender when you pan, youre not stuck at the 3d cursor

There are actually a few ways to navigate. In orbit mode, I find this a little easier...

LMB - Orbit
RMB - Pan X,Y
Alt+LMB - Move along Z
Shift+RMB - Zoom (Lens) (Note: This is a smoother zoom compared to Mouse Wheel)
Ctrl+RMB or MMB - Rotate View (Z)

As for changing the focus, I'm not sure you can do that. Moho seems to always focus on the world origin. This hasn't been a huge problem for me, but I agree, you should be able to change the focus like in any 3D program (e.g., focus on selection, cursor, etc.)

thank you. thats a bummer that we cant though. since its a tool, would it be possible to edit it's code to make that happen?

Great question! That's beyond my skillset, but someone may follow up shortly—lots of talented scripting guys in this forum.

I apologize if I spoke to you impolitely. I though you are novice. Also, Moho is not orbiting like the legendary 3ds Max or Blender.
