The usual difference between preview/project view and final render? You should always do at least a test render before you decide on any brush.

In this case I do not see a work around. The final render is destroying the brush detail.
Been using Moho since version 5 and I did take some time off as I was doing other things. Now back at it with Moho 14 and so far every time I touch it, I run into another issue. Hmm...
Hm, I get sharp and crispy results with my brushes. I suspect it's a matter of project dimensions and maybe some other settings?

with the test file, the brush "hairiness" IS lost on render here (14.3 Win 10). I've tried with and without AA; increased the line width; rendered to .png and .jpg -- all similar in losing sharpness
Yep, that's what I'm seeing. It takes away the effect of the brush. I guess we will have to wait for upper support to see this. It's a little slower these days.
Looks like the render is the same as having GPU caching enabled and a different layer selected.
Since GPU caching is basically turning unselected layers into images, for better workspace performance, it might be equivalent to rendering for image-based brushes.
