MR Animate Points 1.1

Re: MR Animate Points
Version 1.1
- You can now control Point width by clicking on a single point, then holding Ctrl+Alt and moving the cursor horizontally.
- You can now choose which channels to work with when handling keys: Position, Curvature, or point width.
- Added the ability to choose which channels to blend with adjacent frames.
- Alt + click on the Isolate Layers button now cancels isolation. You no longer need to change the mode to do this.
- Alt + click on the Select Points button now deselects all points.
- You no longer need to click exactly on a point to move it in Transform Box mode. Even if you click slightly away from the point, you will still transform the selected points. You can now Alt-click an empty area to rotate the Transform Box.
- When you are on a vector layer in Transform Box mode, you can simply click on a point without holding CTRL to instantly select it and start transforming it, just like LM Transform Points works.
- Added a Rearrange colors button in the Settings menu. Sometimes the point color completely matches the vector color, making points hard to see. Now you can randomly change the order of colors, and if you click the button with Alt, the order of colors will return to the original.
- Bug fixes.

Hi, Eugene
I tried to get to know your script better but then this occurred...

I've seen your comment about updating utilities, which I did, but the same happened again. Any advice?

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Hi Maestral, just curious, how did you install MR Animate Points script? Did you use the Scripts>Install Scripts menu in Moho or prefer manual installation? The reason why I'm asking is because mohoscripts.com engine packs all scripts and their resources in a structured zip file intended for usage with Moho's Install Scrips command, and it is really useful for me to know if people actually prefer to not use that command (and I'd really appreciate if you can briefly explain why you don't want to use it). Previously the website had an option to download a simple zip, but there was a lot of negative feedback because many people found it confusing.

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Hi, Stan
I've always installed scripts manually. To be frank, I can't remember if I ever used the Install Scripts option. Can't say I don't want to, it's more like I already formed a habit/routine to make it manually.
My reasoning lies in the fact that I prefer to keep the Tools panel tidy (groups, order...), but also to know what comes with the script so I could have some idea how it works and looks once installed. On the other hand, just yesterday, I had a look at the header of one of the scripts and found some ludocris note from the author. That's a side effect, but not to be taken lightly - having a good laugh is healthy, after all - script header a day keeps the doctor away
As for any rule, there was an exception, ages ago. There was some elaborate script for a complex rig (Dragonmatrix ?! / pardon, can't recall its label properly). That would be the only time when I followed instructions for installation.
So, any ideas what went wrong with Animate Points script installation?

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Thanks Maestral! For this case with MR Animate Points I'd actually suggest you to use the Download button on the mohoscripts website, unzip it, and you'll get a folder named "mr_animate_points_for-moho-install-script-command". Use the Scripts > Install Scripts command and select that folder.
MR Animate Points requires two utility files and a folder with images, and all need to be placed in correct locations. The mechanisms of the mohoscripts download and Moho's Install Scripts command are doing a good job automating that process. Please try.

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Very well. Thanks for your input.
I thought I made it obvious that I can handle manual script installation.

I assume Stan is just trying to rule out any installation issues. Everyone makes mistakes occasionally.

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Certainly. I've double checked before posting the screenshot.
Everything is in place, and since this script requires AE Utilities and MR Utilities (as separate dependencies), I've updated them as well with the latest editions. Alas, to no avail

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Usually, this situation indicates that you have another, older version of mr_utilities installed somewhere, and during compilation that version remains the active one.
Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Thanks. Eugene. That sounds like it.
I believe I overwrote the previous version (copied new filess over the previous ones, in all folders).
If I delete everything, restart and then "install" the new version - would that solve the thing? Not sure what the other way would be to "terminate" the previous version, and where to look for its traces.

Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
You can create a new clean content folder, install the script there, make sure everything works, and then add the other scripts to it as well.
Re: MR Animate Points 1.1
Thanks for the swift reply
There was another mr_utilities - within the Tool folder (ver.1/8.12KB). I've deleted it and everything is back in order.
