Free 2D Nature Assets - After Feedback

Hello,
I’ve been animating for around 10 years and, something I’ve always wanted to do is put together my own collections of ready to use assets. Most of the time my shorts are set outside so I have to create alot of different nature assets.

Over the last month or two I have started creating a few different collections based around the four seasons (I have mainly done Winter and Spring so far), and I thought I would post a link to one of the collections on here for free to get a bit of feedback on wether people would use them or not

This one is a sort of Spring starer pack and it has 2 animated Cherry Blossom trees (not super detailed) That I use more for background. 2 animated grass layers (Animated in Moho) and an Animated Cherry Blossom fall overlay. I tried to loop them to the best of my ability and they all have transparant backgrounds.

Heres a quick link to two shots that I created using some of the assets.



These one are free to use in any of your own projects. I quite like them in my own work but I want to see if they would fit into other people videos or not and if they are useful. I uploaded them to my Google drive account and was also hoping to see if they download alright and import into your software. I mainly use Moho, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve and have had no problems.

Glad you like them, they arent super detailed, and I still add a few colour grading effects to them when compostiting them into my scenes.

I mainly use them for forground and background elements where they might be blurred slightly but they do save me a bit of time, being that I can just drop them straight in to my projects.

Here's an example of some winter assets that Im putting together right now.

had a look at them. Nice. (I couldn't open New Grass for preview though!)

But, and only speaking personally, I'm unlikely to use them mainly because of the lighting (seems to be strong and from a set direction) and, it would be too much work for me to adjust. Also, they're huge .mov files (typically around 3Gb except for the petal fall at 250Mb or so) with a typical 10 second duration - not sure if they loop or not as I didn't bother to look.


Are they made with Moho? if so the moho files would be, for me, far more useful if you wanted to share.

Cool, thats the type of feedback I'm after.

As far as looping goes I did it to the best of my ability and I think they look pretty good. So far I do all of my character animation in Moho but I do most of the set building and compositing in After Effects (I would like to try this in Moho a bit more in the future though)

As far as the files go, I've always heard that people like 4K ProRes 4444 files, so thats what I went with for the most part. They play fine in After Effects but I'm not too sure if thats the best file format for everyone though, Maybe its a bit over the top?

I drew the Grass blades in Clip Studio Paint then Rigged and animated them in Moho using the Wind Dynamics feature. After this I imported a few different variations into After Effects, combined then duplicated them while also offsetting them. Then I saved them as ProRes files. Ive never been too great with the technical side of things so im not sure if this is the most efficient workflow or not.

Eventually I was thinking about seeing if I can sell them somewhere for a bit of side money, but I'm still seeing if people would actually want to use them or not.
