Ai changed so much while I was away

Post by DreamCatcherWolf »

I was on limit Internet and couldn't figure out my login when I got it back but finally I am logged back in. Yeah!

Uh ai is getting crazy. While not a replacement it can be useful to integrate it into projects. In the next month or so (after I am finished with my move to another state), I plan on updating to a windows computer to be able to use Cartoon Animator 5 lip sync for animal/creatures...but I was kind of hoping CA6 might be available by then...Cartoon Animator 5 is a bit glitchy with animals. But no news of CA 6 so far.

Anyone seeing any groundbreaking/consistent AI for lip sync on 2d special creatures. If nothing else I'll just complete it in moho. All my close-ups are a bit flat with emotion so perhaps my concentration should be on a better head rig for close-ups. But since I'm a little bit of a chaotic move time period it doesn't hurt to do a little research on the subject of AI and other programs.

Welcome back! Moving to another state is always a chaotic time, so hang in there with the packing and setup!
Regarding your search for a better workflow: CA5’s default setup for animals and unique creatures can indeed be a bit finicky. If you’re looking to streamline the lip-sync process without waiting endlessly for CA6 news, you might want to check out LayerWeaver and RigWeaver.
LayerWeaver: With this tool, you only need to draw 5 basic mouth shapes for quadruped or custom models, and it automatically generates named, ready-to-use CA5 lip-sync assets. It saves a huge amount of time compared to setting everything up manually in CA5.
RigWeaver: Since you mentioned possibly completing the project in Moho, RigWeaver allows you to reuse the exact same character assets and rig structures across both CA5 and Moho. You don’t have to rebuild the head rig or lip-sync assets from scratch if you decide to switch between the two programs.
It’s a great way to improve facial expressions for close-ups while keeping your production flexible. Good luck with the move and setting up your new Windows machine!
