Sorry, I could have been clearer in my explanation.
Many 14.4 and earlier scripts are certainly compatible with 14.5, but some older scripts may break in 14.5. It's a fact of life that when a new version of Moho is released, old scripts may break. Fortunately, this happens rarely.
Also, some older scripts simply become obsolete because new features may render them so. Such is the case with certain popular third-party drawing tool scripts and mods; they're not necessary in Moho 14.5 because of its native drawing tool improvements. So, it's good practice to review the scripts you currently have installed and remove the unnecessary ones. But if you continue to use an older version of 14.x alongside 14.5, then it's a good idea to maintain multiple content folders so you can still have those scripts for the older version of Moho, and remove the unnecessary scripts for the newer one. (May as well make room for other useful tools.)
The same goes for settings files, such as Keyboard Shortcuts (as in my case with MQC). This is easy enough to correct, but it's something to be aware of if you choose to keep older versions of Moho 14.x, since you'll need to manually switch between settings compatible with the version you're using.
To be honest, I've been using 14.5 for a while now, and I'm beginning to feel confident that I don't need to keep 14.4 as a backup. The bug fixes alone make me want to stick with 14.5. When I remove 14.4, I'll likely remove my 14.4 content folder as well. But it doesn't hurt to keep it around...just in case.
Heck, I still have Moho 12.5 and 13.5 on my computer.*
*(Note: At least the content folders and settings files are NOT shared between these versions and Moho 14.x. Each full number upgrade has its own folder and settings, so no need to switch when you launch these versions.)
