Linking Scenes

Post by gbpatriot »

I have returned to animation after a break of 25 years by purchasing Anime Studio Pro. For many years my hobby was peg bar animation, I even constructed my own cine rostrum and light table.

I have settled into digital cut out animation quite naturally and have now worked my way through the basics of character creation, bone rigging, lip sync and creatied several short scenes.

Now I seek help.

Can anyone explain how do I create and add new scenes and transitions to my first scene?
Thank you

Hi gbpatriot,

I am still learning the rope and not sure about transitions but i think you can create new scenes by using switch layers.

if you study the user movie "cool catz intro 1" you will see the creator has setup separate scenes.

i hope that can help somewhat :)

good luck with the digital way :) love to see the work you create with your background in traditional animation!

good luck!

Have just located the answer to my question in the 'Tips & Techniques' Forum.

So it's back to the old techniques of splicing scenes together (digitally of course) using video editing software.

Sorry to have wasted your time.
