I love the program, but I dont know how to link a bone to my drawing plz help.
ohh and I have flash so can I make a image (hand or leg) and inport it in AS and link it to a bone so I can animate it
plz help

If you have drawn something, it isn't necessarily easy to animate. There is no magic wand to turn your drawing into an animation. Therefore, I think it is wise to learn to use the program with simple shapes and if you're comfortable with that, use more complicated shapes.Paolo_Viper wrote:ohh and I have flash so can I make a image (hand of leg) and inport it in AS
Anyway, complex shapes drawn in other programs and imported into Anime Studio as vector drawings are often very hard to animate, because of the many vector points the import process generates. You often need to reduce the number of points to make it more "animatable" in Anime Studio, which can be rather time consuming and tedious.
It is often faster and better to use the artwork imported from the other program as a template and trace that template in separate layers, using the AS tools. Of course, once you're familiar with the particularities of AS, you can work your way around this and use the tools of your favorite program, instead of those supplied in AS. You'll probably be splitting your character into several layers, just as you would have done with AS, because it a very flexible way to work.
That's my 2 cents on using other vector-based programs to design your characters. And of course, because there are no rules, only conventions and habits, you can disagree with me and do it any way you like it.
For now, don't worry about that, just do the tutorial (don't just read it, but do the examples), so you get a feel how the program works.
