A New Kind of Keyframe interpolation Method, PLEASE...

Post by Rai López »

Well, I think (like most of Moho users) that Graph Mode in Timeline is very limited, cause LM must be really fed up of this feature request, I only said that if is not possible to add in a near future an accurate adjusting Graph Mode like other programs have (AFX, Combustion, etc), It'll be USEFULL that we could choice between Fast in/out & Slow in/out kind of keyframes at least... I think that this is a very reasonable feature request that let us some more control during animation (I think this is essential), without LM have to do big changes in his program  CIAO!

I also suggested adding a few more interpolation curve choices for keyframes, some time back. Maybe if we keep asking ...

In the meantime, it might be good for us to develop techniques for simulating these other curves by adding as little as one extra keyframe somewhere between the two keyframes in question.

For example, if you add in a keyframe about 1/3 of the way between two already-existing keyframes, and then drag that new key to the right so that it's about 2/3 of the way through: presto, you have acceleration.

I agree with both the previous posts. In another thread in this forum, I have asked once again that LM implement separate "ease in" and "ease out" options as I often want only to accelerate from one key to another. Control of the curve between two keys should of course be the ultimate aim. Whenever I ask, I usually get enthusiastic agreement from other posters, but no action. Let's keep quietly nagging those nice LM people. Moho is a superb bit of software; I hope they'll address this animation-specific issue and make the program even better.
