I have just started learning Anime Studio with the goal of converting our character packs (http://cartoonsolutions.com/store/home.php?cat=279) into Anime Studio format. I am extremely impressed with this program. The bones set up and the gravity effect to create the follow through animation is incredible!
Anyway, like I mentioned, I am converting these characters so they are set up and ready to go for Anime Studio users. A few questions I have are:
*Can all three poses of the character (front, side and back) be contained in one .anme file or will customers need to download three individual files?
*Is there a way to reuse the hand switch layer created in the front view to also be used in the side view (so that it doesn't need to be recreated since it is the same art)?
*Will Moho users who have not upgraded to Anime Studio be able to open .anme character pack files using Moho?
Those are my questions for now!

Yes, trough switch layers.bluehickey wrote:Can all three poses of the character (front, side and back) be contained in one .anme file or will customers need to download three individual files?
Not as far as I know. You need a copy of the hand switch layer for each view.bluehickey wrote:Is there a way to reuse the hand switch layer created in the front view to also be used in the side view (so that it doesn't need to be recreated since it is the same art)?
In my experience, yes. Internally Anime Studio 5.5 is called Moho 5.5, but my copy of Moho 5.3 reads all .anme files I have opened so far just fine.bluehickey wrote:*Will Moho users who have not upgraded to Anime Studio be able to open .anme character pack files using Moho?
Re: Importing characters and other general questions
You can of course instantly duplicate existing layers (and sub-layers) with the Duplicate Layer button on the layers panel, so you don't have to re-draw the existing layer, just duplicate the existing hand layer and drag it into the other view's hand switch layer. However, as Rasheed said, you can't re-use the same individual layer.Rasheed wrote:Not as far as I know. Note also that you could change between character views (in the same .anme file) using layer visibility, but Rasheed's answer of switch layers is a better solution for animating (and yes, you can have multi-level layer nesting).

Yeah, I meant "bone dynamics". Sorry, still new to the program and not up to speed on the jargon yet!donnie wrote:Hi BlueHickey,
