New mouth shapes

Post by pncutep »

ok this question might have already been asked but i dont think it was what i wanted though. I use papagayo to do my lipsyncing and then i import the ".dat" data into anime studio for the mouth shapes. But anime studio only allow you to use preset mouth shapes. I wanna make my own shape and still be able to use the ".dat" (switchdata) from papagayo. Is there a way to do it?

It sin't fully clear from the tutorial, but the way to create custom mouth shapes that will automatically work with your dat file is to create a layer setup just like that in the tutorial file 'Tutorial 5.2.moho' without any shapes in it and create your own shapes in the appropriate layers.

That is create a switch layer called 'mouth' with sublayers called A, B, C, Closed, D... etc. just like in the tutorial. Then create your own mouth shapes in the appropriate layers.

It's been a long time since I actually did it, but I think that is all there is to it. Follow the instructions above and it just happens like magic!

I told you it had been a while since I did it-

I was working with AS just a moment ago and discovered the step I forgot.

Once you have created your mouth shapes and switch layer structure, double click on the switch layer and when the dialog box pops up, click the 'switch' tab, then click 'Source Data' and select your dat file.
