I can't draw so I'd like to use photos of me and my friends as animations.
I own Alligator Flash Design 6 and Xara Extreme.
Where do I go from here?
My animations would have sound.

Hi Ric,
There are many ways to go with this. AnimeStudio is perfect for photos.
You do how ever have to pre process using a photo shop like program. That is in order to crop and save either as .png or a photoshop equivalent of .psd.
The best is to read and do the tutorials that came with your copy of AS

You'll know when you get there! My Dad
Hi Ric,
see my reply in this thread for what you have to do to make your photographs animatable.
Anime Studio only handles sound as a single soundtrack file for each project file, so you either have to pre-process or post-process your sound in an audio editor or audio-video editor.
Regards, Myles.

I saw result of that prog. One pregnant woman was taking pictures herself every week. And finally it has turned out awesome! I like it very much!myles wrote:Hi Ric,

Yeah, Moho/AS is built as a component in animation work, there's no way to reasonably make more than one shot in one file so an editing program is assumed. Just like every other 3D or compositing program.myles wrote:

Any importing of sound would be for getting the timing of your animation since who wouldn't rather scrub with sound when the option is available in the computer age

I've done a lot of little test animations with photos. Here's a small example.
singing test.
The mouths were created in photoshop using the photo as reference.

Blessings for you, but none for me....
Hi,
I found a very handy, cheap and easy-to-use software called Fantamorph.
Take a look at: http://www.fantamorph.com/.
Take a look in this cool animation starting from just 5 pictures:

Maybe it's not what you are looking for, but it's not bad to know that a simple and efficient tool like that exists!
Cheers!
