Hi,
I am thinking if worthes to spend some bucks to put an OpenGL supported card for 2D animation, because I readed somewhere that it will just make difference if I am rendering 3D things. Is it true?
Beside that, I have 2 cards in my computer (2 monitors - 19" and 17") and I was thinking it in case I swap one of them by a poweful card the program will "know" that it should use the better card and not the other.
Anyone out there know something about that? For instances, if the rendering program window is in the bad card monitor it will use this card, then I should always to remember to have its windo opened in the "good" card monitor? Or it will use the "good" card processment capabilities no matter in what monitor its window is?
Make sense?
Worthes to get an OpenGL card for process 2D graphics?

Yes it makes sense. Having more video RAM will benefit 2D or 3D so if you're getting a 256MB or 512MB video card you will see the performance gain, especially doing higher res or HD content. As far as processing though, which card does the processing is something that would be specified in OpenGL settings and would likely only matter in 3D apps.

Hey, thanks for everybody!
As far as I could understand, in case of 2D animations using tools like AS, I will notice too much more difference if I upgrade my PC to a more power CPU then.
I use an Athlon XP 1.4 Ghz with 512MB RAM, and the processment and programs working is not too bad, unless when I ask it to render movies - although since I have rendered it to SWF, it is too much more faster than if I would doing to AVI or any other bmp format.
Anyway, by your comments about internal way as 2D programs work, I think that put some money over that will no make any difference.
I dont know why in the world there is not still a company interested in build a powerful video card with a good internal processor to speed up 2D graphics processment. Or there is???
