Hmmm... I can NOT create shapes over shapes...

Floowing on from Rhoel's suggestions:

Just to spark things off, here's a very rough first thought. I know it's got problems - it doesn't address layer ordering, for a start.

I was thinking from a programmers point of view, displaying the fills in a nested collapable stack like any other layer element, but having a separate pop-up window will work just as well.

Now, if everytime you moved a layer up or down, it added a keyframe to the layers timeline, you would have all the control you need.

I like it already.

EY! (HI! :)) Hmmm... I was going to take up again the thread for other reasons but I think I must say something before about that interesting proposals...

Well, although that possibilitys have been discused in some other ocassions I must say again that I'd love it specially for shapes, cause in the bones case I don't know if LM could want to add a feature so similar to that himself eliminated in the past, I mean, remember that it was possible to see the bones hierarchy in a window in previous releases of Moho 5.0? ...Anyway, and talking about shapes, it could resolve the Shapes administration and "ordering animation" issue in a very (or in the most) clear way and as I said I surely would love it, although I probably would preffer that it could be resolved in an only one window, you know, with an only one "divided" Layer Window that would show the selected layer content at right (maybe I'd need a faked picture too...), with the pourpose to avoid fill the screen with annoying little windows that nothing have to do with the Moho way (I think...)

And well, the harsh reality is that Shapes are one of the most important part of the program and really we always have needed better tools to can operate properly/clearly with them... Hmmm, lets see if we are listened from the high

And... Well, here is my fake :)

I think it's quite simple and it could offer a good and quick overview of a layer content as well as a lot of new friendly interface possibilities (without forget the main Animatable Layer Ordering issue). Definitely I'd like to see something like this in AS and, well, as it seems this is becoming in a more Feature Requests post than a Bug Report, probably I'll put then in that other section... plus it seems to me that I don't write there since a long time ago

EDIT: ...oOps! With all this mess I've forgotten write about the main issue, well, as I must go to the bed now, I'll only say that I have been thinking in a possible solution to that superimpose shapes issue; although maybe it should be posted in the Scripting section, what about a Create Shape modification with a check box option to create a temporary point in the curve that will be filled just before create the superimpose Shape and then delete it (the point) automaticaly to revive again this USEFUL feature? I think it could be like a very possible/discrete solution, isn't? And well, maybe all the people would be content with the possibility of choose :)
