Just a test using PNG files for eye masking and some basic facial deformation. Someday I'll actually make something more than a test with this stuff, but I'm having fun nonetheless. Animating images in AS is addictive. I've made so many of my friends dance embarrasingly that they're afraid to let me take pictures anymore. Now I have to settle for scribbling my own friends.

All the layers are separate images (with the exception of the background). Process explained below.

I exported the individual layers from Artrage as separate PNG files. I then open them up in Gimp quickly to crop them down so they're not full-screen. When that's done, simply import each image as a new image layer in AS. The rest is masks, bones and switches to deform/move the layers.
The Eye and Hair bone layers have control bones off to the right that control the "squint" and "wind". Much easier than controlling each deform bone separately.

This is so cool!. could you briefly explain how this is accomplished.
Thanks
