Well, the new Semester starts today. There is still room for a few more students. We have been having some great classes! Each student seems to be getting something worthwhile out of the class. We have even had professionals as students. One fellow immediately used what he learned in class to do a commercial on TV. Very cool! Best wishes to all! Happy New Year!

DrEddie's "Basic Anime Studio 2D Animation" Class
Why study Anime Studio? Because this program is simple, fast, and fun! A Free Demo of Anime Studio will be used in Class. It puts a Watermark on all output. But if you purchase Anime Studio later, you can output your work without the Watermark.
Formerly know as MOHO, Basic Anime Studio is now available for $50. The Pro Version is $200. My Class is only $20 for 6 weeks of Internet instruction. It is based on the Pro Version. When you see what MOHO can do, you will be amazed at the low price.
Within three weeks of owning Anime Studio, I created Pirate Ships, smoking Volcanos, Flying Birds, UFOs in space, Alien Cities, an Underwater Scenes with fish, seaweed, and a shark. You will learn how to animate your own creations! You will only be limited by your imagination!
"Basic Anime Studio 2D Animation" will cover the Fundamentals of Animation. You will create Simple Scenes and learn how to animate them. You will learn all you need to create your own Animations. This will be an Adventure. It's an incredible feeling to see something you have
created come to life and move!
You will take a single Frame and turn it into an Action Scene. You will learn to make Vector Objects for animation. How to color them and add special effects. I will show you how to store Elements in one project and how to retrieve them in another so you don't have to "redraw the same object" again. You will learn how to make your own Animation Library.
I will show you how to create a Character. How to add Bones for animation. How to animate the character. You will work with Key Frames so you can easily change the Timing of any element in your animation. Does it sound exciting? It is!
The skills you learn in Anime Studio will help you go on to 3D animation, if you wish. Why not just study a 3D program? Because 3D is complex, time consuming, and confusing for Beginners! Anime Studio is so much easier and faster. It gives you a great Foundation for Animation.
If you are like me, you have stories you want to tell now! You don't want to spend months or years learning a program. Tell your stories now! Anime Studio can help you do that. Any Animation Program takes time, but Anime Studio is the simplest I have found so far. It is fast and
fun! I recommend at least a 1 GigaHertz computer or better for any animation work.
All Classes from the Eclectic Academy are only $20 for 6 weeks of instruction.

I took DrEddie's class last semester and really enjoyed it.
The timing of the class was just right as I was just starting with AS. The "assignments" were fun and light-hearted while putting into practical application many of the basics previously learned from the Manual. There were even a few tips sprinkled here and there that weren't in the Manual. I especially liked the way the bulletin board was set up allowing students to share projects and critiques from others in the class.
If you're new to AS, have already gone thru the Help Files, and feel like you'd like a few more focused tutorials, this is definitely worth it. So stay home on your next scheduled pool & beer night with your ex-cellmates and put the $20 you saved towards this class.

I had taken this class last symester and I feel that this has been a
very worth while class for me. But you can see for yourself what I have
learned at Dr. Eddie's class. Before taking this class, I had just
acquired Anime Studio and worked the few brief tutorials that the
program provided.
Week 1

Week 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6psklquNxw
Week 3 Dr. Eddie says that the seaweed is a little stiff here so I
tried to correct that in week 4.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ald1wuVp-Eo
Week 4 The Submarine was not part of the lesson.

Week 5

Week 6

A couple of ad libs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyGCJI0Pv9Q
Some of these were hurriedly done and I didn't really spend the time
that I should have. This is just the beginning and it just gets me
started in Anime Studio. There is expected to be more classes on Anime Studio in the future.
Eclectic Academy also offers classes in Photoshop, Bryce, Poser 5,
and many others. Over 100 classes are being offered. The cost is just
$20.00 per class for a 6 week class. You can't even buy a book on the
subjects offered at Eclectic Academy at Borders or Barnes & Noble for $20.00.
I feel that Eclectic Academy is a great institution for those of us who
feel that it is the knowledge in your head and not the paper on your
wall that is important. I believe that it is in MY interest that Eclectic Academy should be successful and grow so that in the future classes on
subjects that I am interested in will be available to ME. So I hope
that you will check this place out.
