Bone constraint make it's binding off???

Post by Genete »

I'm making a test with bone constraints using heyvern thecniques. I drawn a set of teeth (circles for the moment) and rigged them with a set of bones. Then using Offset tool put them in right position.
The strange thing is that bone number 1 does not bind its shape... it leaves the shape alone, like if points were not binded. I've repeated the same steps with a new file and result is the same.

Could be a bug?
Can someone help me with this bone number one?

Those were the steps:
1) From new empty file, create 8 circles filled at separated positions (use grid for right positions).
2) Rename the shapes (because I used copy / paste points)
3) Create a Bone layer.
4) Put the vector layer inside the bone layer.
5) Add one bone per shape (use grid for same size position)
6) Region Binding in Bone layer window tab.
7) Using Off Set tool position all bones in desired position (shapes follow bones)
8_) Create a new "master" bone.
9) Include constraints to every bone regarding to the master and the other bones like in example.

Here is the file

Thank you

That's a weird bug.

Funny thing is, it never happened to me because I never had that exact configuration. I had setups ALMOST identical but not quite.

If you make the #1 bone constrained to any other bone besides bone #2 it works. In my stuff I always had a bone in the center that the other bones constrained to but I never had more than 5 bones.

This is the weirdest thing. You need to post it in the bugs forum with an explanation.

It might be some kind of limit on chains or something.

It is unvelievable!!
But the number 8 works! It is very strange. It seems that bone number 1 (the first you do at all) is affected by constraints.... Will put in the bug area.
Thanks anyway.
