Apple released a statement last month telling iTune users not to upgrade to Vista - seems legally purchased downloads are not playing on Apples Software - Apple is to patch the problem.

Isn't vista really anal on security now? like every other second it will ask you this and that about incoming, outgoing, system changes etc.

Microsoft rewrote the Internet stack from the ground up. That says enough about security.
(For those who don't know what this means: this is a recipe for broken security. The best security comes from code that has been pounded on by the hackers for years. After that period, most insecurity has been removed from the original code, repair-after hack-after repair-after hack-etc. This is why Unix is so secure. It is more than 40 years old. It may take 5 years, or more, to Vista to become just as secure as XP is right now. And another 30 years before Vista becomes as secure as Unix is right now. Microsoft not complying with Unix is therefore a lost battle from the start. Luckily, both the creators of Linux and Mac OS X acknowledged this some time ago.)
