Is e-Frontier website down??? ... NOW BACK ONLINE 2007-03-10

Post by Rhoel »

Just tried to log onto the e-Frontier site and got a DNS failure response. Moved to a different ISP and I had the same result.

Local time, 12:00 midday, 05:00 UTC.

Are they are doing maintenance?

I was looking for their affiliate resellers data page.

This is so creepy, could I have been right (see Dubious new forum members -- eeeeek!!!)? I see that the site is parked by GoDaddy. Luckily, the store (store.e-frontier.com) is still intact.

Well, let us assume for now their server has collapsed, and needs maintenance.

There's a fairly serious problem going on with e-Frontier's domain registrar (RegisterFly). Here's some info about the problem (taken from a forum post at Renderosity by user Khai):
the problems are sporadic :(

in a nutshell, the registair 'Regsiterfly' have imploded and are under investigation for Fraud, by ICANN and basically are in trouble... a lot of sites (not just CP/EF) are affected.

The main e-frontier sire is back online as of now. The store seems to be offline (at least on the DNS servers here). Looks like Fahim is having a really fun weekend ;-)

In response to my original query about the affiliate program, seems the links on the website are all 404: There is no reference to any program left so I guess its finished or being re-jigged.

I have emailed Fahim about it so maybe there will be some news next week.
