How do i change scenes.

ok so i got the basic scenes a meeting room and the street,
how do i change the scene from the room to the street.
if any one can help thatl be a hughe weight of my shoulders :)

You could render them separately and assemble in another application or you could load one project into another and animate visibility.

Load the second scene into its own group layer, set the second scene to be invisible until the first one is finished. Then set the first one to be invisible.

Trouble with this is you will have to move all your key frames of the second scene.

Generally I use an external video editor. It is much easier. Or you can use the same technique above with rendered animations from AS.

Render out the second scene as an animated video (QT or AVI) then load it back into the first scene file (image layer). Set this video layer to be invisible until the first scene is finished. Make the first invisible then render the whole thing to a new video.

A video on a layer will not play as long as it is invisible. It starts as soon as its visible attribute is set to true.

You can add transitions this way as well by fading opacity or animating other vector layers as wipes and fades.

thanks ill probably just edit each scene with final cu pro, but i wanted to have it in a way that it brings the illusion of switching camera angles.

I animated my scenes individually and used windows movie maker to put them all together. It worked out awsome

me 2! but i cant use windows movie maker because, i am useing .MOV files as well as .AVI, does anyone know any free aplacation like windows movie maker exept with move export/import capabiltys?

yeah, i looked at that and downloaded jakasha, it runs my .AVI files fine but when you open a .MOV file the thing crashes.

Sorry cannot help. I use linux and my favorite non linear video editor is cinelerra. Only for linux! 8)
