so i've been working on this project and have several images appearing and dissapearing using the image and a blank layer in a switch folder. problem is one of the pictures won't show anymore and the timeline thing down at the bottom is now pink from beginning to end. i've tried loads of stuff to bring the picture back, including reloading it and had it appear for awhile but it would only show after the pink...now when i told it to. then the pink spread beyond and its been a mess ever since.
Select the layer that have the "pink" from the begining. Go to frame 0 and click in the layer properties button (the one with three dots in the layer window). Check off the "Visible" check box in the general tab. If the "pink" still happening you should have more keyframes beyond frame 0.
Be sure that Layer visibility channel is visible in the timeline. Press in Settings and select that channel (the one with an eye inside). Then remove all the keyframes as needed.
Go to SETTINGS and make sure you can see LAYER VISIBILITY in the timeline. (It's a picture of the EYE)
Then, CLICK ONCE in the timeline of the layer's visibility. you'll see that it puts a keyframe in there. If you click in there while the layer's not visible, it will put a visible keyframe, and vice-versa. Kind of toggles it off and on.
Or, with the LAYER VISIBILITY in the timeline, put the thing on FRAME 1. Copy FRAME 0 (visible by default) and copy it to FRAME 1. The layer should be visible from then on.
Click on the eye icon itself in the time line. That will select ALL keys for the whole time line, then click the delete button. This will delete all the visibility keys without having to look for them or open the layer properties.
If visible is checked off on frame 0 for the layer you will have to check the Visible checkbox in the layer properties on frame 0.
Here's a tip:
If you create a new layer anywhere in the time line but frame 0 the layer will be invisible up to the point in the time line it was created including frame 0. I do this all the time and it drives me crazy.
I Do that all the time as well!! Maybe time for a rethink on that one...
Thanks Heyvern for the tip on selecting all keys on the visibilty channel by clicking the eye icon on the timeline, never knew about that and it works for all the channel icons!!
