Vector drawing keyboard shortcuts

Post by ianc »

Can anyone tell me if there are keyboard shortcuts for "select connected" and "select none". I seem to be using these a lot when drawing.
I've tried the HTML help but can't see them anywhere. They would be very useful if there aren't any already.

TAB for select connected and I think ENTER for select none. I'm not sure about the second one...
Please read carefully the built in manual because there is an entry with the shortcuts for all the editing modes. You also can follow the tuturials and all the built in help chapters... They'll surprise you with the great amount of information that they hold.

Very annoying but there is no keyboard short cut for select none.

But since I use the selection tool created by Fazek, I just click on the screen away from the points to deselect.

Fazek's tools are great and can be found in the scripting forum. I think I made that a "sticky" thread so it should be near the top... the subject starts with "Please send suggestons..." or something like that.

Hi Genete,

I have worked my way throught the tutorials, but these shortcuts obviously didn't stick. I'll have to go through it again looking for shortcuts, as I looked at the shortcut list in the HTML manual and these aren't listed there. Perhaps it needs an update to add the missing ones. Didn't want you to think I'd come straight to the forum without having a look first.

If you rollover the tools the key board shortcut will be listed with the name of the tool.

The reason I never knew about the "return" key to select none is that it wasn't listed next to select none in the menu! ;)

I knew that hitting return deselected bones, I had no idea it also deselected points!

Yeehaaa!

interesting.

i used to type 'g' and then click the background to do a select none. it turns out hitting the enter key is much simpler.

I'm sorry if you felt that I was saying the unfortunate phrase: RTFM... There are lot of people that ask their first dude without reading nothing and I always recommend to read the help in deep.

The version that I have is the last release for linux and it has improved the built in help.
BTW: TAB also works with connected bones. And fazek's move points can move SELECTED BONES bones also... It is a WONDERFUL TOOL!!! DONT' MISS IT!
Regards.

Hi Genete.

No offence was taken. It's me that should apologise. I looked there and missed it entirely
