This would be similar to a feature in AfterEffects called "Motion Sketch". It would allow the user to move an item (such as a bone or layer) and have the program record that movement in real time. This would give animations an organic look.
In addition to moving the actual object that you're animating, you could also move a dummy object around on the screen and then match your animation to the movement of the dummy object. For instance, if you wanted a character's walk to have a particular bounce and rhythm, you could draw a circle (or any other shape) and move it across the screen with the exact timing you want your character to have. Then you could animate the character to match the motion of the dummy object. This would be especially useful for complex actions.
Recording motion

If you play the animation and use the "translate" tool for instance it will record that movement. It is not 100% accurate in particular when the processor can't handle it but it does work if you don't mind cleaning up some keyframes afterwards.
Hope that helps a bit,

MY VOTE FOR THIS!! I wrote something like this in the past here http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=715 althouh the people thought that I was talking about another kind of Motion Capture, like you can see... (perhaps I don't knew express correctly) ...Well, the fact is that this (best called) "Recording Motion" It'll be the most USEFULL thing specially talking about Moho 2D bones sistem and I can't "believe" that it has not yet
I knew about the nobudget says, yes... but it's difficult (very difficult) to make the most of it... Perhaps, if somebody (Myles, 7feet... etc?) could write an script (like his Point Reducction script) to reduce all the extra/useless keyframes that this "tecnique" generates thing changes... (as well as this script it'd be usefull to reduce keyframes when apply some scripts like sound based, warp or other that generate a lot of keys), well, you'd can try to ask for it in Scripting forum cause I'm always asking for piles of scripts that nobody writes...
Is the other thing are you talking about something like "Motion Detect" (from video file i.e.)? ...I can't understand very well the second part of your post (4 my English) but if you are talking about that: I VOTE TOO!! It'll be SO usefull, specially for automatic Particles path animation (and other things)... BYE!

But guy... you don't need 30 keyframes per second to get "accurate" motion or the motion that you want... It's cristal clear that get the desired motion with the minimun number of keyframes is the best choice... Of course, for natural motion you need a high number of keys, yes... but if can be ten, better than elevenMarkBorok wrote:If you reduce the keyframes, you would lose the accuracy of the motion.

PS: Uf... a very ancient issue this...
it won't be accurate unless you have professional equipment, and seeing that i'm a student, you're probably using this as a hobby (possibly, small time job), it doesn't look like we can all afford great camera's/equipment to support the motion detection.
but good luck though.
but good luck though.

CRIBBLE! (HI!) ...We are not talking about something like that! (I at least
) We are talking about something so simple like record the motion that you have with your mouse (you don't need a "professional" mouse
) to move bones, layers, points... Or anything in Moho, something like that you can do now if you move something when you are in Play, but better or more sophisticated tool (with more options, accuracy and response) for this pourpose... a lot of Animation programs have something like this (if not all of they) and I think that precisely in Moho this can be specially USEFULL and save time feature!
