EXPORTING A VOICE FROM PAPAGAYO

Post by REELFUNNY »

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY, WHEN I EXPORT A PAPAGAYO VOICE, IT SHOWS UP AS JUST A BLANK DOCUMENT AND NOT A .DAT FILE? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE I EXPORT IT TO-I'VE TRIED ANIME STUDIO, THE PAPAGAYO FOLDER AND MY DESKTOP. I RUN MAC OS X 10.4.9
THANK YOU

Try adding a .dat to the end of the name.

Oh, and good advice for life: don't type in all caps. That tends to bug people.

At least on my mac the .dat extension is always put in automatically.
Is the file "blank" as in empty? Or is it not named with the extension?

If it is a blank file are you sure you actually typed in the text and run the phonetic breakdown?

This may be a silly question but...

Why do people type in all caps? Is it like old people who forget to turn of the turn signal in the car? (I started doing that recently). ;)

I just never could figure it out.

Why do people type in all caps?
It's because there are only caps printed on the keys. Anything else would be, you know, one of those very special greek characters.

When I was a kid, I used to write in all caps because I was lazy. Maybe that's why some folks do it. It's easier, slightly easier anyway.

Later I learned that it's far harder to read text quickly if it's all caps, or even all lower-case. The shape of a word helps with fast reading.

I can imagine that people with dyslexia might not react to text the same way, and don't "get" the advantage I'm talking about. To them, maybe it makes no difference. I can't say for sure.

But I am sure that typing all caps tends to lead to people complaining about it. I thought it worth mentioning to somoene who needs help and is relying on the kindness of strangers.

Looking at Toonertime's avatar I would EXPECT him to type in all caps. ;)

That character would definately be a bit "high strung".
