Are there any decent free character makers...

Post by Woodsy267 »

Hey everyone
I want to make my own characters in AS. I don't like drawing straight into AS because i find it hard to colour shapes that i draw with the pencil. So i was wondering if there was a free programme for Mac that can create characters and export to AS. I also want it to have a transperrent background so that i don't have the white behind the character when i animate

This may have already been posted before but i never found this topic

Thanking you in advance :D :D :D :D

Hi

Free programs for a Mac?
"Inkscape" for vectorgraphics, there was a discussion here, if you use the search function, you can find some informations.
You need also to install "X11", should be on your OSX-CD.
But as much as I know Inkscape can not directly export to the Adobe Illustrator file format.

The other way is using bitmaps, png's, you can simply draw it, scan it and work it out for AS in Gimp, (freeware).
In this case you should use also the search functions.
