Hi everybody
Thanks to reading this forum intensively for the last week I've bought a copy of AS Pro for a project I'm doing at the min - so still climbing the learning curve here.
I'm animating some face expressions, and taking a cue from Darth Furby's excellent head-turning intro, I'm trying to use actions as much as possible to keep all my transitions in encapsulated, re-usable chunks so I can combine them more easily later (wish there was a way to lock into action mode so I didn't keep jumping out of it without noticing! - feature request?) - anyway, my questions-
- is there a way to cut and paste keyframes from the main timeline into actions? -
- is there a way to transfer actions directly from file to file without copying to the main timeline - (I assume that the layer structure in each file would need to be identical, too)?
TIA
AM
PS - anyone know a way to turn off the triple menu blink?

When you import a object (Menu->File->Import...->Anime Studio Objetc) you import also the associated actions it have defined. So to transfer an action from one file to other obviously the object (holding layer and all its child if any) must be imported. Action are always associated to layers.
Regarding to the triple menu blink... Haha that's the first time I see someone ask to remove it!! No idea.

Welcome!

Re: Actions
Thanks for the info - that's really helpful!
Oh, well - there's plenty of bigger things to worry about.
Thanks

the menu blinking on the macintosh used to always annoy the hell out of me (and it actually slows things down when you're working quick!) but at least it could be turned off!Regarding to the triple menu blink... Haha that's the first time I see someone ask to remove it!!
