I saw it a lot of decades ago but I still remember some moments.
Sadly , it was redubbed and westernizzated ( Dumpei became Frank e so on) a bit later .

Ashita no Joe, Rocky Joe in Europe is different by the later Stallone 's Rocky movies but, in my opinion, is even better.
Mendoza, a fighter with superhuman skills and strengh is not a bad guy, is not like the various monster opponent of Rocky Balboa but show humanity and depth.
