I have my project file, which is complex. For that reason, I do not want to use Notepad to replace path text. It can freeze during.
So I recreated the path, renaming directories to accommodate. The textures still did not apply in their respective shapes, even though the paths were correct.
The Image Texture shape effect read as completely blank.
I have realistic hair, and (pardon this) I'll be damned if I have to manually assign each style to each strand again... Will take me about an hour, considering the PC lags in the mere visibility of the hair layer.
Is there something I'm missing to refresh the paths completely?
And yes, as the title states, this is a project file on another computer.
Many Thanks!
Refreshing paths on new PC?

Strange. I have moved project folders before and kept the path names. It depends on if the images linked to are OUTSIDE of the folder of the Anime Studio file. If the linked images are in a sub folder of the AS file folder then the path names should work on any machine. if the links go to an a folder OUTSIDE or above the folder of the AS file then an "absolute" path name is used that includes the name of the hard drive and the whole path to the file.
You should probably at least look at the file in a text editor to see exactly how the path is written. This might give you a clue how to set up the folders to correct the path.
I would still suggest using a text editor with regex batch search and replace. I do this all the time even with large batches of files. A good program for this is jEdit which is a free open source text editor. If you put all the files in the same folder you would only need to remove the part of the path name up to the name of the file.
I had to change dozens of files with multiple pathnames and I did it with jEdit in just a few minutes.

...This is probably the only forum I've ever been to where my problems have been solved by one reply.
Thanks! I did not pay attention to a small, subtle portion of the path.
And I didn't know it was possible to replace all instances of a string that quickly.
Many thanks! You just saved me a boring hour. (and many more that try anything here)
