export to Flash?

Post by twobikeminimum »

OK, real bone-headed question here from a new AS5 adoptee...

I'm doing a simple static image with an animated mouth brought in from Papagayo. It works wonderfully when I export to QT, but when I export to Flash the only part that shows up when I open the file (in Flash) is the mouth; the background image is just not there.

What am I missing here? :(

Thanks!

See the appendix in the Help menu, it lists which features export to Flash and which don't.

What Can't be Exported
On the other hand, some things in Anime Studio are just not compatible with Flash, and cannot be exported to a SWF file. The following list covers the most important of these objects and effects.

brushes
fill and line effects (except gradients)
layer effects (shadows, shading, layer blur, motion blur, etc.)
image warping or 3D movements in image layers
image layers that use progressive JPEG images (Flash can't handle progressive JPEG images)
layer masking
3D layers

Thanks for replying everyone.

I solved the problem with my background image (it was a .gif), but now my soundtrack isn't exporting over to Flash. Once I get that figured out I should be good to go :)

You could easily import the soundtrack directly into flash, with much better options.

Ok, I found the solution :)

I have to set a noise key on frame 1 in order to export the effect properly.
Key on frame 0 doesn't allow exportation of noisy effect.
