a question on size .
When I am drawing in anime studio should I keep my drawing inside the the 2 pink arrows on the screen?also what size should i use to get the most accuate rendering from the shade effect ? It does not seem to render at certain scales or camera distance.
I guess you refer to the "point of origin" which consists of two pink arrows and sits in the middle of every layer.
No, by all means, draw bigger than that!
It is a good idea to create every asset you need in the correct size right from the start. Although AS is resolution-independent, its tools are not. It makes a big difference especially with the layer scale tool (2). Artwork created too small results in handles which may be outside your work area. Artwork created too big result in handles too small to be manipulated exactly. So this tool gives you a good reference as to how big your stuff should be drawn: I prefer stuff to be between 0.5 - 2x the size of its handles (the red square).
