help why does the program anime differantly then I did?

Post by modelrocketscientist »

I'll have a characters hands down in frame 1 then I want the hands to go up in frames 6. Between 1 and 6 there is extra animation that I didn't put in. (basically showing the transition). another thing like dropping a jpg in frame 1 then moving it in frame 50 when I start it over the jpg will move at 1 and not 50 like a wanted.
The characters move out of sequence when restarting. (just like my jpg second example. It wasn't always doing this.
is there a button I'm missing?

How does Anime Studio KNOW when to start moving up and how far? You moved the hand up on frame 6. How many frames does it move up? When should it stop?

Frame 1 is the first key frame. Frame 6 is the next key frame.
AS interpolates from frame 1 to frame 6. It starts on frame 1 and moves a little on each frame till it reaches frame 6 then it stops.

Not moving needs a key frame as well as moving. If you want to have something start moving on frame 6 you need to put a key frame that is the same as frame 1 on frame 6. The hand is not moving from frame 1 to frame 6.

Now you need to put a key frame somewhere AFTER frame 6 that moves it up.

It sounds like you have keyframes that you didn't remove and they keep coming back to haunt you.

Hey Vern

I just wanted to thank you for all the attention you have given
the beginners on this forum! I am one of them and by reading
all the input you have given here, I am slowly learning how
to use this stuff! Thanks again for taking your time to
tutor!

Thanks for the kind words! What a nice holiday gift! You're are welcome! I actually enjoy passing on my knowledge. Maybe I enjoy it too much. It may be an addiction. ;)

Sometimes I think I spend way too much time here. Work is slow so I have a lot of free time. ;)
