How do I know when bones are active?

I was going through the tutorial and at one point in time I had to get the object frank... After i got frank on the screen it told me to get a bone layer and now that have the bone layer I have no clue what to do! Please HELP! :cry:

What's the next step in the tutorial? If you have the bone layer selected go to the next step. When a bone layer is selected you can use bone tools or layer tools on it.

thats my problem I cant select the bone. Frank still has a red dot by him, could that be a problem?

No. The red dot only has to do with exporting to SWF.

If you have the bone layer selected, then use a bone tool to manipulate the bone. If the bone layer is NOT selected the bone tools won't work.

That's all I can give you without more information.

I think you need to back up in the tutorials and re read the steps or go to the help and read about how to use the tools and layers. It is explained.

the classic mistake with bones seems to be
you have to check to make sure you are
in frame 0. This is the set up frame for
installing the bones
