You can create the shower effect using two particles layer.
One of them would simulate the water pouring from the shower. You can follow this thread to do it. You can make the drops less blurred depending on the effect you want to achieve.
The second one would simulate the water drops bouncing from the person that is taking the shower and being thrown away. For that you can use a particle layer that have a velocity and angle distribution according to the part of the body that is under the shower. Also the area of the particles generation is important to match as much as possible the form of the person.
You should put the layers in this way:
bouncing particles
body
pouring shower

...I guess it depends on how you want to present the sequence...
This is a great resource for "blocking" and composition. Hitchcock was an obsessive storyboarder and this site has some excellent examples of his films.
