i just upgraded to leopard, and now Anime Studio won't let me set the project to any longer then 3000 frames.

You need AS Pro to do more than 3000 frames. See the comparison in the help file.

100 seconds should be enough for a scene anyway. Most scenes are must shorter. To piece the scenes together just use a movie editor for movie files or a Flash authoring tool for SWF files.
