better control over bone deformation for bitmap artwork

Post by Josh »

I've been using moho for a while, and I mainly do character animation using bitmaps and moving with bones. It would be great if there was better control over how the bones effected the bitmap. for example, if one could define the area where the bone absolutely would not deform the picture, or if there was an accurate falloff region around the bone, where the picture absolutely wouldn't deform outside that region. I know that you can cut your picture up and put them in separate layers with bones deforming just those layers, but it gets messy if you want a seamless transition between the two.

Also, if you could have an option to define the bone falloff region with vector points, then you could deform parts of bitmaps very accurately.

I really hope a feature can be implemented that solves this issue,

If I knew lua scripting I'd even try to make it myself.. :)
