slowtiger wrote:Just returned from Stuttgart Animation Festival where I saw Marin in a student's film program. It looked very nice on the big screen. Couldn't spot any visual flaws, very clean result. The whole film seems a bit slow to me, but that's a matter of taste.

And we (the forum) are mentioned in the credits!
I was present in Stuttgart as well. If I had only known you were there we could have meet up, that would have been cool. Well, better luck next time. ;) It was a nice festival though, good atmonspheer and an awesome crowd reception.

And yes, the movie feels a bit slow to me to now as well, especially when inside a hour and a half block of student animation. Lots of films shown there could have done with some serious trimming to my taste...

I'm eager now to go back to my new animation project that's about to enter the production stage somewhere next month... it'll be an entirely different beast, with a great voice acting cast and soundtrack recorded by an professional orchestra. :D

As soon as I start with Moho tests I'll let you guys in on it. :)

If I only had known before! Well, I met lots and lots of people ... they should print the names on the badges much bigger.

I don't know why, but I hadn't saw the final short, just the animatic.
I really loved it.

Awesome animation- I also really enjoyed the music and the general sounds used.

With all the renewed interest in Marin I thought it would be nice to upload the preproduction art reel - an extra I made for the Marin DVD.

You can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_tpgfHKZDQ

Especially the fans of the films music will love this little treat because my composer made a 2 and a half minute remix of films musical themes that absolute blew my mind at the time. (and still does :)

@slowtiger: there's a big change we set down in the same viewing sessions a lot. XD But then again, one meets so many people there...
