Anymation

Post by Animatom »

Hi.
Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for unbelievable amount of helpful data you guys had on this forums.
I am Tom Jantol, animator from Croatia, completely in love with AnimeStudio, with lunatic obsession to merge my main tool MotionBuilder with AS.
In general, hybrid animation is road I am exploring for couple of years (I also coined term "Anymation" for that, which becomes more and more popular among animators every day), and I am spreading word about AS as perfect tool for for Anymation anywhere I can.
Here is some sort of "white paper" or manifesto about Anymation, written by my friend and great animator Phil Rice (I asked him to wrote this because of my Tarzan English.) Hope you will find this interesting: http://z-studios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10
(I am building a site about Anymation but I can't find enough time to finish it right now. Soon.)

Also, here is my last movie, combination of couple programs including AS, and it's now in official selection of "I've seen films" festival organized by Rutger Hauer, with Ridley Scott, Roberto Rodrigez and Paul Verhoeven in jury.
(I am convinced that Ridley is pure genius, so you can imagine how I feel about fact that he will look and judge my movie on big screen... Maybe I will even have chance to talk with him about movie... Who knows, maybe this will be the first time he will see AS in action.)

And these are some of my older movies, if you are interested. http://tomjantol.blogspot.com/

I am looking forward to see what you think. Thanks.

Wow. The "Wizard of OS" is one of the most surreal films I've ever seen! Technically very good, too, although I prefer films with a narrative! Welcome to the forum!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Thank you very much.
Yes, I wanted to merge experimental toying with 2D and 3D with classic good guy chasing bad one story - in this case humanoid Antivirus hardware (with ability to pull 3D objects from 2D background) against Virus Fish with ability to morph pictures and steal objects from them (to build flying submarine and defeat Wizard).
My god, telling like this it's surely sound bizarre.

:D
