Okey, so here´s the deal,
Me and a couple of friends are making a commercial for a school project. The problem is that I would like an image layer to appear later in the commercial, kinda like growing out of a corner of the commercial. So how should I solve this, create som sort of invisible mask layer that only covers the image layer without covering the background film? is this even possible? The thing about the mask layer is that it is supposed to reveal the image layer to make it look like it is growing, but I dont know how to do that, please help me out... I know the basics of the program but I am quite new to this whole mask layer thing.
Best Regards Orangejuiced

Sounds like you'd be better off just putting that image layer off screen and scale it down. Then just scale it up as you move it toward center.
But if you don't need the image to appear to be growing, but rather want a frame to grow to reveal it, then masking is the way to go. All you need to do is put the image to be revealed in a group (or bone ) layer with a vector layer containing the shape of the 'frame' you want to expand from the corner. Put the vector layer below your image in the group.
Set the group to 'Hide all'.
Set the vector layer to 'Add to mask'.
Now just scale or otherwise morph and move your vector shape to reveal the image layer as desired.
