What's the deal with the timeline?

Post by pike »

Ok, i'm new to anime studio, i just bought 5.6 and im workin on a Mac Osx 10.5.2

i've read a lot of the "how to" discussions and am getting some decent results.

i have a couple of burning issues that are making things difficult however.

one, is the bug that some others seem to have, that the camera roll, tilt and pan do not show in my time line, however i do get the zoom and move ones. but no matter which layer i switch to, i cant get the others, the tilt and pan don't mean much to me, but the roll camera is vital. I've reported this to the smith micro tech support line anyway...

the other issue i have, is the timeline doesn't show all events, ie layer opacity changes or motion blur changes. i accidentally put the wrong motion blur figure somewhere along the time line and now cant get rid of it unless i go through every frame and try to locate where i made the change. this doesn't seem right to me... so my question is, how can i see this particular event information, can i add it somehow to the timeline, or is there another way of viewing it???

thanks to anyone's assistance in advance...

If you don't show a few of the animation channels in the timeline settings, then those last few will show. Or either maximize the timeline by right clicking its header.

I assume that your second problem is not being able to delete the keyframe. If you copy it to frame one, it will allow you to delete it.

Hey thanks for the quick reply!

I just clicked the settings button, and low and behold there was everything i needed to know...

Guess i went straight to the Web to find out what was wrong and found other people with a similar issue, so thought the worst... (a bug).

Hopefully next time i post to this forum it'll be sharing some anime with the rest of you!

thanks again...
