Newbie needs help importing layers from photoshop elements
Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any help/suggestions you provide! I am new to Anime Studio Pro and am trying to import layers from Photoshop Elements 5.0. Basically, I have several photos that I have cropped into layers (example - mountains) that I would like to import into Anime. I can't figure out how to use the script file (I don't think it will work with Elements, only Photoshop), and when I try to save the cropped area as an image and then import it into Anime, it always has a white background behind the layer (that is now part of the image). I just want to save the cropped area (with no background) so I can use several of them in Anime to create depth. Any suggestions?

When you say "cropped" area do you mean the square image area? Cropping is generally considered to be a rectangle shape.
Does Adobe Elements support alpha channels? that's the only way you could have irregular shapes with transparent backgrounds.
For instance the mountains, if you erase the area around the edges of the mountains, not erase as in painting it white, you need to have the mountains on a layer that shows a checkerboard pattern behind it where you have deleted or erased the image. You then need to save as a png with transparency.

The PNG worked. . .
Thanks - I had tried several other file formats, but PNG worked great! No more white background!
