After Effects Compositor

Gallus Entertainment/Absolute Studios/Decode Entertainment in downtown Toronto is looking for After Effects compositors to join our team on a 100-episode children’s animated TV show, featuring live action backgrounds. This is an in-house position only.
Summary of Position:
Compositors will be responsible for matching 3D elements with live action footage shot against blue screen using After Effects as their primary tool.
The job will involve Basic lighting and rendering skills using Lightwave. Training will be given to those needing it in the Lightwave area.
Responsibilities Include:
• Light and composite scenes and sequences to meet art and story direction.
• Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets.
Qualifications Include:
• A minimum of 2 years industry experience using Adobe After Effects.
• Entry level to advanced knowledge of blue screen compositing.
• Previous experience of integrating CG with live action footage.
• A well rounded compositor with the ability to take entire shots through the entire compositing process.
• Excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills.
• Task driven, self-motivated, proactive.
• Actively accepts and provides direction and ideas.
• Works well under deadline pressure.
• Canadian citizen or Landed Immigrant status.
