undos -- annoying

Post by basshole »

Hi, gang. So, unless I'm mistaken, it seems that 1) you only have a certain number of undos before it's time to reopen your project from its last good save. Maybe 15-20 levels of undo? Also, I've noticed that if you peform actions on a vector layer, then jump to a bone layer, it will only undo the bone layer's changes, and stop, not acknowledging the vector layer. This works vice versa as well. All of this leads to me having to reopen my project a lot if I make too many changes I end up regretting. Is there any way. . .a script maybe, to change the way the undos work?

Sounds like a feature request to me.

Don't rely on undo that way would be my advice. Keep in mind it's limitations and just work with that. Save versions if you do a lot of experimenting. Think about this, you could wait for a possible change to the undo in a future version or you could save an incremented numbered version of the file that can be opened at any time. My projects often reach "double digits" with numbered versions of files. I do a lot of expermenting and always want a back up.
