Select the appropriate brush (016) and adjust the spacing to your liking...
draw your “dotted” line.
If you don’t like the square-dots, create your own brush in Photoshop or else...
(128 x 128 pixels, save as PNG and drag it into Anime Studio’s “brushes” folder)

Cheers

For those playing along at home, be aware this is only possible in AS Pro.

Thanks for the heads up mkelly. I am learning the basic version and they had the tutorial for these brushes but I couldn't find them anywhere in the program. Perhaps they could highlight stuff like this and say only available in Pro. Would save me time trying to figure out why I can't find stuff. :)

(edit) Found that they did mentioned it at the top of the tutorial. D'oh! (edit)

Which features are in Pro only isn't clear in all of the tutorials. If in doubt, check the 'Product Comparision' section of the help.

For a very short dashed line you could do without brushes. You just need to insert as many points as you have dashes and gaps. Then you switch off every other outline segment.

And that can be quickly done with the built in Split curve script ;)
My two cents.

Except menu scripts aren't available in AS Standard. Unless Mike has ever made them available to use as buttons.
