Two questions,

Is Anime Studio still in active development?

Is there a comparison between the Pro and standard editions somewhere?

AFAIK, AS is still in development. The creator is the sole developer though, so there's only so much one man can do. We had a major update about six months ago.

I think the user written scripting does very good to take up some development schedule slack.

If you download the demo, I assume the help includes the Product Comparison".
