Entering Sound Effects at Certain Times

Post by bradhammer »

Ok I have a problem. I am trying to enter a sound effect at a certain point in the animation but it always starts at the beginning. I would like to know how to put the sound effects somewhere in the middle of the animation. Please help.

Thanks,

I find it best to add sound effects in a video editing porgram rather then in AnimeStudio. Of course, do all your lipsyncing in AS but everything else in your video editor. ;)

AS only supports one single sound track file. All of your audio must be in that one file. A sound track only starts at the start frame of the animation and you can't change that.

Basically your sound track has to be "complete" before adding it to the file. If you want a sound to happen at a specific moment in the animation it has to happen at the same spot in the audio file.

...in other words, you need to pad out the sound file with silence. If your sound starts at five seconds into the movie, you'll need to insert five seconds of silence at the beginning of your sound file. Try using Audacity -- it's nice and simple.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Is there any free video editors, so i can insert the sounds at certain times during the animation. I dont want to pay $600 for Adobe Primiere.

Thank you,

Like Jahnocli said, Audacity. It's free.

Thank you,

As far as video editors, Blender has NLE (nonlinear editing) capabilities, but it too complicated for me. For something simpler (and still free), you might try Wax.
