can I use microsoft recorder to imput sound for lipsync? I've tried but cant seem to be able to find the files that I recoreded. What kind of recorder do I need?

I think MS Recorder should work -- make sure you use the highest quality, and save as a .WAV file.
When you say you can't find them, are you sure you are looking in the directory where you are saving them? In Windows Explorer can you see the files (and do they have a .WAV extension)?
