I saw this at the local film festival a 2 or 3 years ago, it's really really good! One of the highlights of the festival for me (along with Chris Landreth's "Ryan").
It's a good example of cutout animation done really really well, giving so much depth to a technique that is so 2 dimensional. His methods are far more limiting than what can be done with Anime Studio and a compositing program, this is the kind of genius we should be aiming for!
