Simple Bouncing Ball

Post by bradhammer »

A bouncing ball I made just to get the feel of anime studio, because I have not animated much in this program yet. Tell me what you think of it, and even give me suggestions to make my animation better.

It seems that the speed in the top of the arc is not symmetric.
The shadow is confusing. I don't know if it is dropped in a wall or in the ground. Use top light better instead of back side from the camera and place it on the ground always, it is easier.

i would start bouncing in a straight line, rather than across the screen - that way you can loop to see what's wrong... it seems the ball slows almost instantly after bouncing and then accelerates again, it should be the opposite - slowest at top of arc, speeding up coming down, and then squishing, then releasing its power faster on the way up again to slow at the top.

DM,
Thanks for that trip down memory lane. I actually had that book when I was ten or so. I didn't remember it was Preston Blair. :D
