"The Ultimate Warrior" Episode 1

Post by spoooze! »

Well guys, I've officially begun animating my new fantasy web-series: The Ultimate Warrior and I've completed the first episode:

http://www.nranimation.com/ultimatewarrior.htm

This is the first time I've ever done this sort of thing. All the episodes in the series are short (2-3 mins) and each episode is part of a continuing storyline.

The main point of this series is to experiment not only with the fight-scenes but also with short-format episodes. If you've seen the Average Joe episodes, they range from 5 to 7 minutes each and 6-8 pages long.

Well, each episode in this series was 2 to 2.5 pages long and it comes to about 2 to 2.5 minutes each and I was surprised how much I can pack in to a 2 minute episode.
I think one episode is 3 pages but that's the very last episode and we wrap everything up then so it can be a bit longer ;)

Anyway, enjoy the episode!

Hello spooze!

WHEN IS THE SECOND EPISODE????

I liked it, liked the story, the drama, the voices.

What I didnt like, the ambience, as in the darkness of the layout, at night is good, but could use a lill more gradient to it, like from blue to dark blue/black skies, that sort of things, I find it a little dull from that perspective.

Gee, that is just so dark, gloomy and ugly. Some of the movement is OK.
I haven't seen anything as morbid and depressing as that since the Lone Ranger cartoon show. Does anyone remember that? Last screened here early 1970's? Very melancholy!

Morbid and depressing isn't necessarily a bad thing!
Yes, there was a Lone Ranger cartoon show. I think it was produced in the 1960's. It had very limited animation, dark, turgid backgound art and nightmareish scenarios.

Haha, I personally like morbid and depressing. Aliens wouldn't be one of my favorite movies otherwise :P

That's strange. From what I can remember of the live action TV show... it was more campy then dark.

Was it one of those Filmation animated shows? I know they did a ton of those "based on TV or movies" shows.
