Particles constant stream.

Post by shoepie »

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone was able to help. I don't seem to be able to get a constant stream of particles for a smoke trail. Here's where I am at.

The particles keep clumping into groups, I've tried evenly spaced, enabling the random setting. The really frustrating thing is I even copied the settings from the Particles Effects>Smoke particle layer (which kind of looks constant like what I want) but it doesn't work.

There's nothing found with the forum search function either so I'm stuck :( Thanks to anyone who can help.

There is a small glitch in the particle system. If you have multiple layers in your particle, the clumping will only be happening on one of the layers. If you only have one layer, it will happen there. The solution is the same either way. Duplicate the problem layer and then make sure which layer is clumping (take turns turning their visibility off to check this).

Then in the layer settings check both 'hide in editing view' and 'don't render this layer'. The glitch should now be confined and hidden.
